Experience PAACF’s Exclusive Art Travel Program—Just for Members

Join the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation for a spring trip to experience the very best of the Midwest.

We’ll start our trip in Wisconsin visiting the Milwaukee Art Museum, the largest art museum in the state with a stunning recent addition designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. Next, we’ll enjoy the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, ranked the #6 art museum in the United States by ARTnews, followed by the Kohler Art Preserve, the world’s first museum dedicated to artist-created environments and installations.

A bus trip will bring us to Chicago, in time to experience Expo Chicago, one of the most important contemporary art fairs in the country. We’ll also tour the brand new Obama Center, which features outstanding contemporary art commissions by artists that include Maya Lin, Theaster Gates, Alison Saar, Martin Puryear, and local artist Lava Thomas. Other Chicago highlights include visits to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Contemporary Art Museum, local galleries, and an architectural boat tour.

Along the way, you’ll experience the very best hotels and top restaurants, and behind-the-scenes opportunities that promise to surprise and delight! You won’t want to miss this introduction to undiscovered cultural gems and a chance to gain a new perspective!

"PAACF's Baltimore and DC trip was incredible! The thoughtfully curated itinerary, restaurants, and hotels were top-notch. Hearing directly from curators made the experience even more enriching and offered deeper insights into the exhibits. Exploring neighborhoods like Anacostia and visiting the Frederick Douglass home added extra depth. Every detail was handled with care, making for a seamless and enriching journey."
