Experience PAACF’s Exclusive Art Travel Program – Immerse Yourself in the Creative Spirit of Desert X, Palm Springs, and Joshua Tree
Join the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation as we experience all the wonder, and artistic vibrancy of this rich Southern California region. We’ll start with a tour of Desert X, the preeminent biennial exhibition of contemporary site-specific works throughout the desert, then visit local treasures including the Palm Springs Art Museum, Modernist architectural icons and neighborhood tours, Sunnylands, and have opportunities for mid-century modern shopping, fine dining and exploring artist studios along the way. We’ll then head to Joshua Tree staying at the historic adobe cabins at 29 Palms Inn, learning about the unique lifestyle this region supports, and experiencing quirky and compelling cultural attractions such as the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Sculpture Museum, the World’s Famous Crochet Museum, the Integretron and an optional hike in Joshua Tree National Park. There will be additional opportunities for relaxation, and restoration in this desert oasis before we head home.

The Hilton Palm Springs, nestled in the heart of downtown, offers stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains and a relaxing outdoor pool deck. With an on-site restaurant and its prime location just steps from the main strip, you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of comfort and convenience after a day of art and adventure.
The 29 Palms Inn, a charming desert hideaway, provides a tranquil escape surrounded by the rugged beauty of Joshua Tree. Enjoy cozy adobe-style accommodations, fresh farm-to-table dining at the on-site restaurant, and serene evenings by the pool. It’s the perfect base for relaxation and exploration.
