Art Therapy Workshop for Nonprofit Workers

Join the Palo Alto Art Center for an art workshop designed for nonprofit workers. Come together to reflect and create in a safe and inclusive space under the guidance of a professional. This session will be led by Anh Tran, AMFT/ATR-P, provisional art therapist, clinician, and associate marriage and family therapist.

As a first-generation Vietnamese-American, daughter of refugees, Anh uses her experiences with inter-generational trauma, and other intersections of oppression as a woman of color to inform her practice. She has made a commitment to uplift the voices of the populations she engages and to help them embrace their rich cultural identities.

During this workshop, you will get to Make a Movie Poster of Your Life. Have fun designing the art for the cover of the movie about your life, or a section of your life so far—is it a romantic comedy? A thriller? An action film? What’s the title? Using the power of artistic creative expression and the reclaiming of our stories, we can move towards empowerment and healing.
