The Art Center is excited to continue our free virtual meditation sessions with stress management consultant Julie Forbes, Ph.D. Join Julie every Thursday at noon from July 14-August 25. Sessions will rotate each week between Mindful Meditation, Body Scan, Loving Kindness and Guided Visualization. Julie will also incorporate gentle movement into the sessions, including mindful walking, gentle yoga lying postures, gentle yoga standing postures and modified Qigong.
Julie Forbes, Ph.D. is an educator, consultant and facilitator offering stress reduction and mindfulness to corporate and community organizations, groups, and individuals. She is currently teaching mindfulness-based stress reduction programs at variety of locations including Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, and Avenidas. Julie has worked in the computer industry since 1982 and received a doctorate in psychology in 1999.
